COVID-19 Update

Notice regarding Grandview Church of Christ Services:

 

Governor Reynolds, on April 2, 2020, signed a new proclamation continuing the “State Public Health Emergency Declaration”.  This new proclamation declared that all public gatherings of 10 or more people be postponed or cancelled until April 30, 2020.

 

Accordingly, all services, bible study and gatherings at the Grandview Church of Christ will be cancelled through April 30, 2020.

 

We would remind you that services will be streamed on-line on the Grandview Members only website @ 10:00 AM on Sundays and @ 7:00 PM on Wednesdays. 

 

The elders would continue to encourage the following:

  1. Worship in your home

  2. Continue daily bible readings

  3. Solicit from members favorite/encouraging scripture to be posted on the Grandview website

  4. Spend quality family time

  5. Help others, especially check on the elderly (use your skillset)

  6. Stay at home

  7. Pray

 

The above decision is effective immediately and will be reviewed/reassessed as further information becomes available.

On March 26, 2020: Governor Reynolds signed a new proclamation continuing the “State Public Health Emergency Declaration”.  This new proclamation declared that all public gatherings of 10 or more people be postponed or cancelled until April 7, 2020.

Accordingly, all services, bible study and gatherings at the Grandview Church of Christ will be cancelled through April 9, 2020.

This includes the Service Sunday meal previously scheduled for March 29. 

We would remind you that Sunday AM worship service will be live streamed on the Grandview Members only Facebook group at 10:00 AM on March 29 and April 5.  Wednesday evening bible study will also be live streamed at 7:00 PM on April 1 and April 8.

The elders would continue to encourage the following:

1.    Worship in your home
2.    Continue daily bible readings
3.    Solicit from members favorite/encouraging scripture to be posted on the Grandview website
4.    Spend quality family time
5.    Stay calm
6.    Relax, if possible
7.    Help others, especially check on the elderly
8.    Stay at home
9.    Stay safe
10.    Pray

Coronavirus Awareness

The elders at the Grandview Church of Christ are closely monitoring the developments of the global outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). We are following updates from the World Health Organization (WHO); The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC);  as well as other federal, state, and local authorities including Polk County Emergency Managament and the Iowa Department of Public Health. As of now, the threat of catching the virus in Polk County, Iowa continues to remain low. Based upon the current situation, the Grandview Church of Christ will remain open and our programming will continue as scheduled. We will reassess our operational status based on how the situation progresses. The health of our members, staff, guests and community is a top priority for Grandview Church of Christ and we are taking appropriate action which include increasing the frequency of cleaning of high traffic surfaces, restrooms, and classrooms, and the stocking of sanitation supplies.
